Shriya’s absence

  • IndiaGlitz, [Monday,March 03 2008]

Shriya was conspicuously absent in the press meet conducted on the shooting spot of ‘Kanthaswamy’ recently. The hot girl, who was there in the floor, left the spot just before the press meet started. She told a reporter, whom she met enroute to the parking space, that she would come back after changing her dress in the caravan. But she disappointed everyone, who was eagerly waiting to see her.

Some see this absence as fallout of the dressing controversy that erupted after the silver jubilee function of 'Sivaji'. She might be trying to avoid any uneasy questions over her sexy gown, they say.

Meanwhile, Shriya, who is unperturbed by the controversies surrounding her, clears the air on the perceived professional jealous between Trisha and herself. “We are very good friends” says Shriya, who acted with Trisha in ‘Enakku 20 Unakku 18’. She informs that it was Trisha who called her up first to greet her when she got the plump offer in Sivaji. Even now, Shriya says, both of them meet once a week and talk a lot. Nothing on cinema, adds the glamour girl.

PS: Shriya has given a nickname for Vadivelu. Any guesses? He is Jim Kerry of Tamil Nadu!
